BAR was hired to assess the Lloydminster Airports’ existing generator. Upon review, it was determined the generator should be replaced to reduce cost and increase reliability. The project was completed in two phases.
Phase 1 involved the assessment of the viability of utilizing the existing generator. Based on the assessment, it was determined that the most cost-effective option was to purchase a new generator intended for emergency power to the Airport.
Next, BAR managed the project to ensure everything ran smoothly and was kept up to code in phase 2. This included tendering, procuring, and installation of a self-contained emergency generator package on site.
